Postal chief denies move fuelled by outcry over his massive pay

The bete-noir of the print and mail industry Australia Post CEO Ahmed Fahour has just resigned from his position, following seven years in the job.

The under-fire AusPost boss has copped a torrent of criticism for the past two weeks after the Senate forced the taxpayer-owned organisation to reveal his salary, which at $5.6m turned out to be ten times more than the prime minister and the head of the massive US Postal Service.
