Charti appointed as Océ Australia distributor in Qld

31 Jan 2019 |  Sheree Young   |   Comment Now

Large format printing supplier Charti has been announced as a reseller for Océ Australia’s Technical Document System printers in Queensland.

The arrangement also allows Charti to sell Océ's ColorWave and PlotWave printer series and associated toner and consumables in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Dale Hawkns, senior manager – indirect and marketing for Océ Australia says the move will enhance options for customers in Queensland.

“Charti is a Melbourne-based supplier which offers an extensive range of large format printing

equipment, media, ink, display systems and supplies,” Hawkins says.

“More importantly for our Queensland customers, the company has support offices throughout Australia which include an extensive warehousing facility in Capalaba, Brisbane.”

Hawkins says customers can continue to order supplies through Oce Australia, which ships overnight from its Sydney warehouse, but the arrangement with Charti gives customers another option and access to faster delivery times.

“Charti has an excellent reputation for both expertise and product quality and we are delighted to

partner with them to provide our customers in Queensland with expanded sales and support options,” Hawkins says.

“We have a strong and long-standing relationship with the company as a supplier of products from Océ parent company, Canon, and are confident they will be a responsive and reliable business partner for our customers in Queensland, providing the high level of support they need to build their business success.”

Charti managing director David Cheng has welcomed the new agreement.

“It’s a perfect strategic fit having two quality brands working side by side to serve our industry,” Cheng says.

“The Océ brand and product line-up perfectly complements the Charti offer, making Charti a ‘one stop shop’ for the large format printing industry,” Cheng says.

The announcement follows Charti’s purchase of Brisbane based Stanton Media last December.

Charti has been in operation since 2016 and also sells printing machines on behalf of Epson, Canon and Mimaki.
